CYFSP Workforce Capability and Learning Framework—Project Complete
Families ACT and the Youth Coalition, in partnership with Spark Space, are pleased to announce the release of the CYFSP Workforce Capability and Learning Framework. This Framework provides a shared, practical foundation for how workforce capability is defined, developed and supported across the ACT child, youth and family sector. It is designed to guide workforce development and training decisions, support coordination and alignment, and reduce fragmentation, duplication and inequity in how capability is built and maintained.
The Framework is intended to support:
The Workforce Development and Training Subcommittee (WDTC) in guiding strategic planning and training investment.
Organisational workforce planning, supervision, induction and development.
Practice Leaders and supervisors to strengthen reflective practice and capability development.
Sector partners and funders to align expectations and reduce duplication.
Rather than a training catalogue or compliance checklist, the Framework is a practical reference point that supports consistent decision-making while allowing flexibility for organisational context.
You can access the Workforce Capability and Learning Framework here.
The Framework is supported by the CYFSP Workforce Capability and Learning Framework Consultation Report, which provides the full methodology, data synthesis and rationale that informed it. You can access the Consultation Report here.
Families ACT and the Youth Coalition thank Vicky Choice and Julia Burgell from Spark Space for their work in developing the Framework and associated report, and all CYFSP sector members who contributed to its development.
